According to a recent comScore report, more than 132 million people used the Internet to compare auto insurance quotes from 2004-2008. That’s a fairly large number AND that’s for auto insurance alone. That figure doesn’t include homeowners, renters, life or health insurance.

As the online marketplace continues to get larger and larger, however, insurance agents who want to take their insurance business to the next level will need to implement an online marketing plan in tandem with their overall agency marketing plan.
While traditional marketing methods (billboards, commercials, direct mail, YellowPages, etc) may help you create brand awareness and drive some traffic to your insurance business, often times the results from these campaigns are not easy to track.
